School of Publishing (Publishing Think Tank)
Since the national High-quality Construction Program of Publishing Think Tanks was released by National Press and Publication Administration in 2022, School of Publishing BIGC has aimed to build a new Center for International Publishing Research(“CIPR”), integrating Chinese & foreign publishing history, publishing aesthetics, AI applications in publishing,digital publishing, publishing talent cultivation.




CIPR is a progressive think tank focused on publishing issues, policy decisions, and public awareness. It is dedicated, first and foremost, to promoting smart publishing through publications in a variety of media, as well as through events and lectures.





CIPR’s stated mission is to promote the efficiency of relevant publishing policies on the most important economic and social issues that affect people’s reading. To that end, CIPR produces research and publications on topics like book economic growth, the audio book market, international publication trade, and copyrights. Since its establishment, it has guided the whole university to publish more than 160 academic papers on publishing - related research in journals. It has organized 36 activities such as academic lectures, seminars, forums, research and study meetings related to publishing. It has submitted 6 think - tank achievements and 3 think - tank briefs, and founded a journal named "Digital Publishing Research".
