International S&T Cooperation Center for Green Printing and Publishing Technology
The International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Green Printing and Publishing Technologies, based at Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, is dedicated to the research and innovation of green printing and publishing technologies. Aligned with China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and actively responding to the Belt and Road Initiative, the base focuses on areas such as green and intelligent printing, digital publishing, and media convergence, with the aim of promoting the green transformation and digital upgrading of the printing and publishing industry. The base is supported by major research platforms, including the National Center for Printing Machinery Testing and the Beijing Engineering Research Center for Printed Electronics. It houses laboratories covering an area of 5,000 square meters, with total equipment valued at over 44.6 million RMB. In recent years, the base has established close cooperative relationships with 18 universities, research institutes, and enterprises across 10 countries. It has participated in the formulation of ISO international industry standards and has promoted the implementation of multiple international cooperation projects. The base has achieved significant results in areas such as green printing materials, printed electronics, and smart packaging. It has published over 200 high-level academic papers, filed more than 50 domestic and international invention patents, and drafted 4 national and international standards. It has also received more than 30 international awards, including the Red Dot Award (Germany) and the Good Design Award (USA). By integrating industry, academia, and research, the base has accelerated the commercialization of numerous technological achievements, providing strong scientific and technological support for the green and intelligent development of the printing and publishing industry.
