Comprehensive Laboratory for Key Technology R&D and Application in Press and Publication
The Integrated Laboratory for R&D and Application of Key Technologies in the Press and Publishing Sector is one of the 42 key laboratories for science, technology, and standards under the National Press and Publication Administration. It has been rated “Excellent” for four consecutive years. The laboratory conducts research under the themes of “Publishing + Intelligent Upgrading,” “Publishing + High-Quality Development,” and “Publishing + Digital Empowerment,” providing strong support for the high-quality transformation and upgrading of the publishing industry and the cultivation of new quality productive forces.
Focusing on standardization in the press and publishing sector, the laboratory has undertaken the drafting and revision of numerous national and industry standards under the jurisdiction of several standardization committees, including the Publishing Distribution Standards Committee and the Information Standards Committee for Press and Publishing. Leveraging its think tank capabilities, the laboratory has contributed to the development of high-quality development guidelines for major industrial clusters in regions such as Beijing, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta, commissioned by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, thereby supporting industrial upgrading. Relying on its existing resources, the laboratory organizes a series of forums and lectures, creating a high-quality exchange platform that fosters school–business collaboration. It provides strong support in addressing urgent challenges in the development of China’s publishing industry.
Looking ahead, the laboratory will further align with development needs, deepen its research focus, cultivate key outcomes, and continue to contribute to the advancement of the press and publishing sector.
