Beijing Key Laboratory of Signal and Information Processing for High-end Printing Equipment
The laboratory is established under the "Signal and Information Processing Beijing Key Construction Discipline" at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication. It focuses on addressing major challenges and key technological issues in the development and transformation of industries such as printing and packaging, publishing, and media. The laboratory conducts scientific research and technological development in areas including information anti-counterfeiting and intelligent IoT, intelligent detection and control, digital printing and publishing big data, and printing copyright management and security. It has played a significant role in advancing industry technology, cultivating high-level talent, and providing social services.

The laboratory currently has 41 researchers, including 22 with senior professional titles (54%) and 29 with doctoral degrees (71%). It has independently cultivated one "Great Wall Scholar" of Beijing and flexibly recruited two inaugural "Changjiang Scholars." The laboratory has also established two municipal academic innovation teams. With comprehensive disciplinary coverage, it offers master's degree programs in "Information and Communication Engineering," "Cyberspace Security," and "Electronic Information." The laboratory maintains strong collaborative relationships with industry associations and academic organizations, such as the China Printing and Equipment Industry Association, the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and the Chinese Association for Cryptologic Research.

In recent years, the laboratory has undertaken over 20 provincial and ministerial-level research projects, including 7 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 6 Beijing Natural Science Foundation key projects. It has also completed more than 20 major enterprise-funded projects. The laboratory has developed a series of influential technological achievements, such as halftone anti-counterfeiting printing, green printing digital workflow control systems, and high-speed digital inkjet printing equipment. Researchers have published over 200 academic papers in prominent international journals and conferences, obtained more than 160 authorized invention patents, and published over 20 academic books.
