BIGC Project Wins First Prize in the 2023 Science and Technology Awards of the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China
The project “Research on Comprehensive Deep Reduction Technologies for VOCs in the Packaging and Printing Industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region”, led by BIGC and supported by the Beijing Major Science and Technology Project “Capital Blue Sky Initiative”, was awarded First Prize in the 2023 Science and Technology Awards by the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC).
This project not only provides strong technical support for the State Council’s Three-Year Action Plan to Win the Blue Sky Defense Battle and the 13th Five-Year Plan for the Prevention and Control of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Pollution, but also plays a positive role in advancing the goals of the 2018 Beijing Blue Sky Defense Action Plan and improving air quality. According to projections, the project is expected to reduce total VOC emissions in the packaging and printing industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by more than 50%, contributing approximately 5% to 8% of the region’s reductions in PM2.5 and ozone. The technologies developed also offer valuable insights and references for other industries, such as furniture manufacturing and surface coating.
