School of Publishing Selected for Three Consecutive Years as a Key Cultivation Institution under the National Publishing Think Tank Program by the National Press and Publication Administration
On September 25, 2024, the 2024 Publishing Think Tank Work Exchange Conference was held in Beijing. The School of Publishing was selected for the third consecutive year as a key cultivation institution under the High-quality Development Plan of the National Publishing Think Tank Program. Leveraging the think tank platform, the School has submitted multiple research outcomes through channels such as the Publishing Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the National Press and Publication Administration, the Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the State Council, the Press and Publishing Sector of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, the China Publishing Association, and the China Society of Editing. The School has co-established 65 national and provincial/ministerial-level off-campus talent training and practice bases with organizations including China Science Publishing & Media Ltd., and has built innovation and entrepreneurship practice bases for university students. It has been recognized as a “Beijing Municipal Copyright Protection Demonstration Zone (Base),” contributing to the construction of a collaborative education and training system. The School has also provided design services for major national events such as the Special Exhibition on Publishing to Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China and the handbooks for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. These efforts fully demonstrate the advantages of its “Publishing+” interdisciplinary programs and the strategic role of its publishing think tank platform.
