
Lin Cunzhen, a 1995 graduate, is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and Deputy Dean of the School of Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. She is a delegate to the 13th Beijing Municipal Party Congress, an Olympic brand expert for the International Olympic Committee, Deputy Director of the Graphic Design Art Committee of the 4th Council of the China Artists Association, a council member of the Beijing Artists Association, and a council member of the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Over the years, she has devoted herself to using art and design to serve the national image and social development. She has collaborated with institutions across sectors such as sports, culture, tourism, diplomacy, science and technology, and government administration, completing numerous national and local visual identity design and research projects. She possesses extensive experience in teaching and practical application of art in national development and is a leading designer of China’s national image and cultural and creative branding. Lin played a key role in the image and landscape design for three Olympic Games: the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. She is the first person in the world to have designed four Olympic emblems. She was awarded the Outstanding Individual Contribution Award for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and was named a National May 1st Women’s Pioneer in 2019.
